AthX Top Pitchers, Hitters & Team Scores (August 21, 2026)

A 9-0 in the desert. Misiorowski over Sale. Walk-offs everywhere else.

Friday had Arizona blanking Cincinnati, Jacob Misiorowski outdueling Chris Sale, and enough extras and walk-offs to fill a weekend. Travis Bazzana and Alex Bregman tied atop the hitter board. The Arizona Diamondbacks still sat alone on the team table.

These rankings are daily production under AthX Engine scoring. They are not share prices.

Top team fantasy scores (Friday, August 21, 2026)

Arizona's 21 came on a 9-0 shutout. Cleveland's 20 was a 9-1 at Coors. Five clubs tied at 11, including the Phillies' extras win and the White Sox walk-off. Milwaukee beat Atlanta 2-1 behind Misiorowski and scored only 8 team points, which is what a one-run pitching duel looks like next to a 9-0.

Top pitchers (AthX Engine, August 21, 2026)

Gore's six scoreless innings sat at 24 even though Texas needed extras to finish the Angels. Vásquez and Misiorowski tied at 22. Sale still scored 12 in the 2-1 loss and did not crack this top 10 cut. Length and zeroes wrote the board.

Top hitters (AthX Engine, August 21, 2026)

Bregman's two-homer night scored 11 in a Cubs loss. Bazzana matched him in Cleveland's rout. Lawlar, France, and Contreras tied at 10. Bohm's extras night and Walker's production in a Cardinals loss both landed at 9. Pete Alonso and Patrick Bailey also scored 9 just outside this cut of the table's first ten ranks.

Six featured games from Friday

  • Diamondbacks 9, Reds 0: Arizona led the team board at 21. Lawlar scored 10 hitting FP. Eduardo Rodriguez scored 15.66 pitching FP.
  • Guardians 9, Rockies 1: Cleveland finished second at 20 team FP. Bazzana scored 11 hitting FP.
  • Padres 6, Twins 2: France scored 10. Vásquez scored 22 pitching FP. San Diego finished third at 13 team FP.
  • Phillies 7, Cardinals 6: Bohm's 10th-inning triple. Philadelphia tied at 11 team FP.
  • White Sox 6, Mets 4: Jake Rogers walk-off. Chicago tied at 11 team FP.
  • Brewers 2, Braves 1: Misiorowski scored 22 pitching FP and beat Sale.
  • What stood out

The team board had two clear leaders, then a pile of 11s. Arizona and Cleveland separated themselves with nine-run nights. Everything else was one-run games, extras, and walk-offs.

The pitcher board did not belong only to the shutouts. Gore led from a 2-1 Rangers win that needed 10 innings. Misiorowski and Vásquez tied for second. Sale still threw well enough to score 12 in a loss.

Bregman was the top hitter from a losing club. That is the slate in one line: loud individual cards did not always match the final.

    What now?

Friday's AthX Engine scores are a record of that slate. Use them to compare nights, then check roles and news before you treat any board as more than production.
