A 14-4, a one-hitter, and a walk-off that did not need a recap to show up here
September 13, 2026 was a 15-game Sunday. The Tampa Bay Rays scored 14, swept Houston, and became the first American League club to 90 wins. Cam Schlittler allowed one hit over six innings in the Bronx and took the major league ERA lead. Lawrence Butler hit a two-run homer in the ninth in Sacramento and left Seattle further back in a race that is running out of nights.
That is the board: one blowout that owned the team table, a pitcher who led everyone in a 2-0, and a hitter who won a game the team table only ranked sixth.

Schlittler at 27 FP is the card, and it came in a 2-0. Sheehan threw six scoreless and still watched Miami score four in the ninth. Tolle threw six scoreless and did not get the decision in a 4-1. Sandlin allowed no earned runs in a 3-1 loss. Peralta's five hitless innings sit sixth because he was pulled at 86 pitches with an 11-0 lead. The pitcher board ranks the line. It does not rank the win column.

Butler took the hitter board on a walk-off. Arozarena hit two homers in the same game and still lost. Kwan homered on the second pitch of the afternoon in Minneapolis. De Paula's 2-for-2 stayed on this table after pitchers were filtered off the hitter board. Ray Kerr's 12 FP as an Atlanta reliever did not.
Six featured games from Sunday
What stood out
The pitcher board and the team board split. Schlittler led everyone in a 2-0. Peralta threw five hitless innings in a 14-4 and still sat sixth among pitchers because the outing stopped at 86 pitches. Sheehan and Tolle threw six scoreless and did not win. Sandlin allowed three unearned runs and still ranked eighth.
The hitter board rewarded the walk-off and the near-cycle. Butler and Arozarena both went deep twice in Sacramento. Only one of them won. Kwan and Bazzana did both: they hit and Cleveland won. That is the version of Sunday the recaps followed, plus the 2-0 that the team table would have skipped.
