Team of the Month: Boston Red Sox
Boston did not need the loudest offense in baseball. It needed the cleanest month.
The Red Sox totaled 241 team FP across 23 scored games in the monthly roll-up—21-4 with 128 runs scored and only 74 allowed. That is first place by a clear margin over the Chicago Cubs (215) and the Detroit Tigers (205).
The shape of the month:
June's team crown belonged to Milwaukee. July's belongs to a Red Sox club that played like a first-place machine for a full calendar month.
Hitter of the Month: James Wood
Wood won July the same way Crow-Armstrong won June: enough strong nights that the board never caught him.
He totaled 110 AthX Engine hitting fantasy points across 24 games, finishing ahead of teammate CJ Abrams (106) and Yordan Alvarez (93). His best day landed on July 6 with 16 hitting FP. Washington still finished only 6th among teams (176 team FP, 11-13)—a clean reminder that hitter boards and team boards can diverge when the rest of the roster does not keep pace.

July's hitting crown was not a fluke blast month. It was a full-calendar grind with two Nationals at the front of the line.
Pitcher of the Month: Dylan Cease
Cease's July is the volume-plus-ceiling argument.
He led all pitchers with 134 AthX Engine pitching fantasy points across five appearances, clear of Chris Sale (120) and Sean Burke (114.7). His best single day in the monthly aggregation—July 25 at 43 pitching FP—is the loudest starter night on the board. That is how you open a gap that six-start seasons cannot always close.
The rest of the top five tells the month's pitching story:
Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Tarik Skubal both finished in the top eight—Dodgers depth on the board even before the August trade chaos. Eury Pérez posted a 33 FP best day on July 5. Whitlock's top-10 finish as a reliever is the bullpen counterweight: 95.3 FP over 14 outings without a single double-digit monster night larger than 10.
