AthX Engine NFL Tight Ends Projections 2026: Top 20

Tight end is the position where AthX Engine's scoring card actually changes the argument.

Receivers and running backs get Half-PPR: half a point per catch. Tight ends get 1.5. That is a full extra point every reception, by design, so elite TEs can compete with star wideouts on the season board instead of living in a dead zone behind every WR3.

McBride is the clear TE1. The fight is for TE2.

Trey McBride at 353 is the only tight end who looks like a top-shelf WR on this scoring card. Arizona still funnels him targets, and 1.5 PPR turns those catches into a real lead.

Sam LaPorta and Jake Ferguson sit second and third in offenses that throw enough to feed a TE without needing him to be the only skill player. Brock Bowers at fourth is the young pass-catcher who already plays like a primary option in Las Vegas.

Premium scoring is why Kelce can fall and still matter

Travis Kelce at ninth will feel wrong to anyone ranking career resume. It is honest about age, volume trends, and Kansas City's current skill group. He can still post usable weeks. He is no longer automatic TE1 under AthX Engine if the model prices a full season of snaps.

George Kittle and Mark Andrews stay in the top 10 because they still get high-value looks when healthy. Kyle Pitts at 16th is the talent-versus-role fight in Atlanta under a new coaching staff: the physical tools never left; the projection only climbs if the usage does.

Rookies and camp climbers

Colston Loveland at fifth is the big early-career swing. Chicago is projecting him as a real piece of the pass game, not a third-string blocker. Tyler Warren and Tucker Kraft live in that next tier where camp depth charts will matter more than draft capital alone.

If you only remember one thing from this board: AthX Engine TE premium is not a slogan. It is why McBride's projection can sit next to star receivers on a cross-position leaderboard while ordinary blocking TEs never appear here at all.
