Four openers. One no-hitter that almost was. Rasmussen still owned the night.
October 3, 2026 was LDS Game 1, and it was a four-game board. The Los Angeles Dodgers scored 5 and allowed 3. The Chicago White Sox scored 3 and allowed 0. The Milwaukee Brewers scored 3 and allowed 2. The Tampa Bay Rays scored 1 and allowed 0.
Drew Rasmussen carried a no-hitter into the eighth in a 1-0. Tarik Skubal threw six innings in 100-degree heat. Grant Taylor saved a shutout with four innings. That is the board: Los Angeles first at 10 team FP, Rasmussen first among pitchers at 35, Ozzie Albies and Kyle Tucker first among hitters at 8.

Los Angeles sits first because a 5-3 fills a team table: a win, five runs, three against. Chicago sits second on a shutout that scored three. Milwaukee sits third on a one-run home win. Tampa Bay sits fourth because a 1-0 still beats a 0-1. Saturday was not a 15-game card. It was four openers.

Rasmussen sat first because eight scoreless innings and 10 strikeouts still beat a four-inning save. Taylor sat second on those four innings. Skubal sat third on the same 21 because one earned run and a homer cost him the tiebreak he did not need in the standings. Dodd sat fourth in a loss because three scoreless still score. Cole sat ninth with the loss because five innings and one run still fill a line. The ranking is the arms who threw on a four-game card, cut at 10.

Albies took the hitter board on a two-run shot in a loss. Tucker sat second on the same 8 because a steal and a second hit do not outrank the walk-plus-two-RBI line. Hernández, Chourio, and Contreras sat next on the homers that actually decided games. Aranda sat eighth on the only run in St. Petersburg. Pitchers were kept off this table. The hitter board is for bats.
Four featured games from Saturday
What stood out
The team board belonged to the club that scored five. A 5-3 still beats a 3-0 in this scoring: two extra runs outweigh the shutout bonus you do not get as a club. Chicago's blanking sat second anyway. The 1-0 in St. Petersburg sat fourth because one run is a small team table even when the pitching is historic.
The pitcher board belonged to eight scoreless innings and a no-hit bid that lasted until two outs in the eighth. Taylor's four-inning save sat next to Skubal's quality start at 21. Cole's five innings and one run still made the top 10 in a loss. That is the version of Saturday the recaps followed: four games, no invented sixth.
The hitter board belonged to homers. Albies and Tucker tied at 8. The bats that won games sat in the middle: Murakami, Contreras, Aranda. New York's only hit was a double that died at third. It did not make this table.
