Down 3-1, then two three-run swings

Trailing 3-1, Tyrone Taylor crushed a three-run homer in the sixth off Evan Phillips. An inning later, Marcus Semien added another three-run drive. The New York Mets beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 8-3 and avoided a season sweep, per the Associated Press.
Francisco Lindor’s RBI single had opened the scoring. Los Angeles answered with two in the third and one in the fourth. Emmet Sheehan kept New York quiet into the middle innings. Freddy Peralta needed 93 pitches to finish four and left with the deficit. Reliever C. Pérez (4-3) got the win after the bullpen turn.
Six late runs lifted the Mets
