AthX Top Pitchers, Hitters & Team Scores (October 1, 2026)

One game. Three homers. Kerr still owned the night.

October 1, 2026 was Wild Card Game 3, and it was the only game on the board. The Atlanta Braves scored 6, allowed 2, and sent the Philadelphia Phillies home. Michael Harris II hit a three-run homer in the first. Ozzie Albies hit a two-run shot in the fourth. Matt Olson went deep in the seventh. Ray Kerr, who found out Wednesday night he would open the winner-take-all game, threw 3 1/3 scoreless innings.

That is the board: Atlanta first at 13 team FP, Philadelphia second at -3. Kerr sat first among pitchers at 9.33. Harris and Olson sat first among hitters at 8.

1Atlanta Braves136-2Braves vs Phillies
2Philadelphia Phillies-32-6Three homers allowed, 0-for-6 with runners in scoring position (ESPN)

Atlanta sits first because a 6-2 fills a team table: a win, six runs, two against. Philadelphia is second because there was no third club. Thursday was not a six-game card. It was one night in Cobb County.

Kerr sat first because zeros on 3 1/3 innings still beat a four-out cameo. Sale sat second on those four outs. Duran sat third in a loss because a clean inning still scores. Holmes sat fourth with the win. Aaron Nola threw 1 2/3, allowed three earned, and did not make this table. The ranking is every arm who threw on a one-game card, minus the start that ended the series.

Top hitters (AthX Engine, October 1, 2026)

Harris took the hitter board on the swing that made it 3-0. Olson sat second on the same 8 because two runs and a walk do not outrank three RBI. Albies sat third. Schwarber sat fourth in a loss because two singles and a walk still fill a line. Hill sat fifth on a pinch-hit triple. Harper doubled and struck out twice and did not make this table. Pitchers were kept off it. The hitter board is for bats.

One featured game from Thursday

  • Braves 6, Phillies 2: Atlanta at 13 team FP. Kerr 9.33. Harris 8.
  • What stood out

The team board belonged to the club that scored six and allowed two. There was no second game to compare it with. A 6-2 is a better table than a 2-6. It is also the whole slate.

The pitcher board belonged to an opener who threw 3 1/3 scoreless innings after learning the assignment the night before. Sale's four outs sat second because strikeouts still score. Nola's first inning sat at the bottom of the staff and off this list.

The hitter board belonged to the three Atlanta homers. Philadelphia's best bats were a DH who did not go deep and a pinch-hitter who tripled. That is the version of Thursday the recap followed: the only game on the card, no invented sixth recap.

    What now?

Thursday's AthX Engine scores are a record of Game 3. Atlanta moves on. Philadelphia does not. Use the board to compare nights, then check roles and news before you treat any number as more than production.
