Definition and category

AthX (The Athlete Sports Exchange) is sports trading: fractional shares in athletes and teams. MLB is live; AthX NFL is aimed at September 6, 2026. Prices move with real production and supply and demand—you're not stacking a lineup against ten thousand other entries.

People call it a DFS alternative because the fees are 1–4% instead of contest rake, the book can last past one slate, and eligible holdings can pay dividends. It's not a sportsbook—results come from performance and your trades inside the rules.

How does AthX work?

You sign up, deposit (min $10), and get 20x in AthX$ to trade. You browse the marketplace, buy fractional shares in players and teams at current prices, and can sell anytime. Hold 30+ days and eligible holdings earn 1% monthly dividends. Hold 10+ different assets for a diversity bonus. Prices update based on fantasy performance and supply and demand.

Is AthX gambling?

No. AthX is designed as a skill-based game. Results depend on real MLB performance and your in-app trading decisions. It is not sports betting or gambling.

How is AthX different from DraftKings or FanDuel?

DraftKings and FanDuel take 10–15% rake from prize pools; AthX charges 1–4% on trades. On DFS you compete against other players; on AthX you trade against the market and build a portfolio that can earn dividends. We profit when you trade, not when you lose.

Can I earn dividends on AthX?

Yes. If you hold shares for 30+ days and the holding meets the platform's "on pace" requirement, you can earn 1% of the holding value per month as a dividend. Holding 10+ different assets also earns a diversity bonus (0.25-0.50% of portfolio value monthly).

What are AthX fees?

Standard users pay 1% on buys and typically around 3% on sells (fees shown before you confirm). AthX Pro users pay 0% on buys and 2% on sells. There is a 3% processing fee on deposits. Withdrawals have no AthX fee. This is far lower than the 10-15% rake on traditional DFS.

Where is AthX available?
