How AthX Works

Buying Shares

• Standard users pay a small buy fee; AthX Pro buys are fee-free
• Minimum purchase: 0.01 shares
• Shares are fractional - you can own 1.5 shares, 0.25 shares, etc.
• Available shares decrease when you buy (supply/demand)

Selling Shares

• Fees apply and are always shown before you confirm a trade
• Standard users: manual sell fee is typically ~3% (may vary)
• AthX Pro users: 2% baseline on manual sells (some events may reduce)
• Free shares cannot be sold manually (only via force-sell)
• Available shares increase when you sell

Trading Power

• 20x multiplier: Deposit $1 USD = 20 AthX$
• Minimum deposit: $10 USD
• Maximum deposit: $100/month (increases with account age and AthX Pro status)
• Withdrawals: Minimum $10 USD (20 AthX$ = $1 USD)

How Prices Move

Prices are updated based on two main inputs:

1. Performance: Prices are influenced by fantasy points earned over the season
   • Assets can move up or down depending on performance
2. Market activity: Buying pressure and selling pressure can influence price
   • Higher demand can push price up; higher selling pressure can push price down

IPO Period

• New assets may start with a 3-day IPO (Initial Public Offering)
• Price is fixed during IPO at the IPO price
• IPO price = projected points for rest of season
• After IPO ends, price becomes dynamic
• Trading is allowed during IPO at fixed price

Price Bounds

• Minimum price: $0.01 (floor)

Monthly Dividends

• Rate: 1% of holding value per month
• Holding Period: Must hold shares for 30+ days
• Performance Requirement: Player must be "on pace" (performing at or above purchase price pace)
• FIFO Tracking: Uses First-In-First-Out lot tracking
• Payment: Credited to your AthX$ balance monthly

On-Pace Requirement

A holding is eligible when it meets the platform’s “on pace” requirement. Eligibility is determined automatically and shown in-app.

Diverse Holdings Bonus

• Requirement: Hold 10+ full shares (1.0+ shares each) of different assets
• Standard users: 0.25% of total portfolio value monthly (3% annually)
• AthX Pro users: 0.50% of total portfolio value monthly (6% annually)
• Payment: Credited on the 1st of each month
• Portfolio value = holdings value + cash balance

Signup Bonus Shares

• Regular users: 1 free share at signup
• Free shares are selected from available marketplace
• Free shares cannot be sold manually (only via force-sell)
• Free shares count toward bonuses and dividends

Trading Fees

Other Fees

• Deposits: 3% processing fee to cover Stripe fees (shown at checkout)
• Withdrawals: No fee (Stripe may charge small processing fee)
• Auto-sells / Force-sells: 2% fee (standard) or 1% fee (AthX Pro)

How Assets Enter the Market

1. Eligibility: Asset becomes tradeable when it meets the platform’s eligibility rules (varies by sport)
2. Projection: Fantasy points projection calculated
3. Tier Assignment: Asset assigned a tier
4. IPO: 3-day fixed price period begins
5. Live Market: After IPO, price becomes dynamic

IPO Price Calculation

IPO price = projected fantasy points for the rest of the season

When Force Sells Happen

• Roster Removal: 10-day window after an athlete is removed from eligibility (sport-specific)
• Long-Term Inactive: Certain long-term inactive/injury designations can trigger force-sell (sport-specific)
• End of Season: Season-based assets are force-sold the day after the championship game (sport-specific)
• Off-Season: Some assets may be unavailable during the off-season (sport-specific)

Force-Sell Payout

• Payout is credited to your AthX$ balance after applicable fees
• Free shares are also force-sold (same payout calculation)
