MLB Opening Night 2026: Yankees vs. Giants Live on Netflix

Opening Night for the 2026 season is set for Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. PT / 8:00 p.m. ET at Oracle Park in San Francisco. The New York Yankees will visit the San Francisco Giants in the first-ever live MLB game streamed on Netflix, available globally on all subscription plans.

Context

The matchup will also be the debut of MLB’s ABS Challenge System (automated ball-strike challenges). The game takes place the evening before traditional Opening Day (March 26). Netflix will also stream the T-Mobile Home Run Derby (July 13, 2026) and MLB at Field of Dreams (August 13, 2026, Twins vs. Phillies). From 2026–2028, Netflix will air one Opening Night game, the Home Run Derby, and one additional special event game each year.
