How the game turned
Raley's 10th homer of the year and third of the road trip scored the game's first runs in the first. Garver, starting behind the plate for the injured Cal Raleigh, homered in the fourth to score J.P. Crawford and make it 5-1.
Cole Young doubled in a run in the sixth, and Crawford doubled in the eighth to plate Brice Matthews and cap Seattle's scoring. Yordan Alvarez homered for the 14th time this year in the third, and Braden Shewmake doubled in two runs in the sixth for Houston.
Alvarez and Shewmake went a combined 5-for-7; the rest of the Astros lineup was 0-for-25, per AP.
Pitching and matchup notes
Luis Castillo (1-4) earned his first win of the season with 5.2 innings, three runs, four hits, six strikeouts, and four walks. Domingo Gonzalez worked the final two frames. Mike Burrows (2-5) took the loss after seven runs on eight hits in 5.2 innings.

Raley and Garver supplied the early leverage Seattle needed on the road. Crawford stayed in the middle of the action with multiple extra-base hits in a lineup that did not need Raleigh's bat to carry the night.
