Dodgers 11, Brewers 3: Teoscar Hernández Drives in Six as L.A. Rallies Past Milwaukee

The lead

May 23, 2026 - Milwaukee - The Los Angeles Dodgers erased an early 3-0 deficit and routed the Milwaukee Brewers 11-3 at American Family Field, as Teoscar Hernández homered and matched a career high with six RBIs and Freddie Freeman drew four walks in a patient night at the plate, per the Associated Press recap on CBS Sports.

Los Angeles snapped Milwaukee's four-game winning streak and beat the Brewers in the regular season for the first time since Aug. 13, 2024, ending a nine-game skid in the rivalry. The Dodgers bullpen extended its scoreless streak to 36 innings—the longest by any major league bullpen since Cleveland's 39 in September 2017, according to Sportradar data cited by AP.

How the game turned

Milwaukee jumped ahead 3-0 on Brice Turang's RBI double and Sal Frelick's two-out single in the first. The lead held until the fourth, when Freddie Freeman and Andy Pages opened with consecutive doubles off Robert Gasser (0-1). Kyle Tucker walked to load the bases, and Hernández sent an 0-2 pitch off the left-field foul pole for a three-run homer that put Los Angeles ahead for good.

The Dodgers added three runs off DL Hall in the eighth and four more off Jake Woodford in the ninth. Brewers pitchers issued a season-high 11 walks, including the four to Freeman, and allowed the most runs they have surrendered in a game this year.

Pitching and matchup notes

Roki Sasaki (3-3) worked five innings with four strikeouts and picked up the win despite allowing three early runs on five Milwaukee hits. Alex Vesia, Kyle Hurt, Tanner Scott, and Jonathan Hernández each pitched a scoreless relief inning; only one of the Brewers' five hits came in the final seven frames.

AthX Engine graded Los Angeles at 22 team FP—tied for the nightly lead—with Hernández at 14 hitting FP and Freeman at 11. Sasaki posted strong pitching credit on a night the story belonged to the middle of the order.

Bats that changed the board

Hernández finished 3-for-4 with a homer, a single, and six RBIs spread across the fourth, eighth, and ninth. Freeman reached base five times without a hit, stealing once and scoring three runs. Shohei Ohtani added two hits and an RBI; Pages doubled and drove in a run.

For Milwaukee, Jackson Chourio doubled twice and Jake Bauers went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts, ending a 12-game hitting streak and a 22-game on-base streak.

AthX Engine fantasy angle

A 22 team FP night built on one 14 FP bat plus an 11 FP table-setter is the AthX Engine template for spread offense—no single hitter had to carry the entire ledger. Daily scoring remains separate from dynamic pricing.

What comes next

The series finale Sunday pits Yoshinobu Yamamoto (3-4, 3.32 ERA) against Brandon Sproat (1-2, 5.75 ERA), per AP probables.
