September 27, 2026 - Rio de Janeiro - Seven seconds. Ball at the 35. Lamar Jackson threw 27 yards to Zay Flowers, saw the receiver go down, and waved for a timeout with one second left. Tyler Loop slipped a 56-yarder inside the left upright. The Baltimore Ravens beat the Dallas Cowboys 34-31 in the NFL's first game at Maracana Stadium.
The announced crowd was 72,792. Baltimore is 2-1. Dallas is 1-2. Loop missed a 44-yarder last January that would have sent the Ravens to the playoffs. This one sent purple onto the grass in Brazil.

Early in the second, Markquese Bell's pass interference on Devontez Walker gave Baltimore the ball at the Dallas 3. Henry went around the right end. 14-10 Ravens. Loop added 27 after another Dallas fourth-and-1 failed. 17-10. Aubrey made 28 again before the half. 17-13.

Jake Ferguson caught a shuffle pass and fumbled. Trenton Simpson recovered after Travis Jones forced it. Aubrey then missed a 59-yarder because Keondre Jackson blocked it. Four plays later Jackson hit Chris Moore from 4. 24-13.
Prescott answered 67 yards in six plays. Ferguson scored from 19. Lamb caught the two-point try. 24-21. Baltimore drove to first-and-goal at the 3. Jaishawn Barham dropped Henry for a 3-yard loss on fourth-and-1. Prescott went 96 yards. Lamb's 49-yard catch set it up. KaVontae Turpin ran 9 around the left end. 28-24 Cowboys, 5:45 left.
Jackson still had patience. On third-and-goal from the 2 with 1:30 remaining, he found rookie tight end Matt Hibner. 31-28.
Nate Wiggins locked arms with Lamb in the end zone. Pass interference. Ball at the 2 with 23 seconds left. Incomplete. False start. Aubrey from 23. 31-31, seven seconds on the clock. Aubrey's kickoff was a touchback. Jesse Minter called that huge. Jackson delivered the baby, as he put it, and Loop won Rio.
Baltimore rushed for 192. Justice Hill added 33 to Henry and Jackson. Dallas had 148, its first 100-yard rushing game of the season, per the club. The Ravens committed nine penalties. John Simpson had three false starts. Declan Doyle still fed Henry eight carries in the first quarter.
The Cowboys went on a 15-0 run after Baltimore led by 11 with under four minutes left in the third. Clutch stops on both sides, the Ravens wrote, kept them off the wrong side of another second-half collapse. Calais Campbell had three of Baltimore's seven quarterback hits. Roquan Smith notched his first sack since Christmas 2024 on a blitz that forced an early Dallas field goal.
Loop won the kickoff battle. Turpin had one return for 31. Aubrey kicked two out of bounds. After the tying 23-yarder, the touchback gave Jackson a clean 35. That is how a seven-second drive starts.
Jalen Thompson left with a hamstring. Dallas was already without Malik Hooker and P.J. Locke at safety, per the club. It showed up on Flowers' 27-yarder more than on Henry's early fourth-down stuffs.
Baltimore hosts Tennessee on Oct. 4. Dallas is home the same afternoon. The Ravens get a 1 p.m. kick in their own building after a trip that ended with Loop in a pile. Schottenheimer told the club nobody cares about the long flight back. He was hurting. They were hurting. The NFL's third Brazil game, first in Rio, ended on a kick the Ravens had been waiting a year to make.
