October 18, 2026 - Philadelphia - Tommy Tremble caught it from 19 with nobody inside a 10-yard radius, the Panthers wrote, then pointed at Cooper DeJean. The extra point moved back 15 yards and stayed short. Carolina still had 25. The Carolina Panthers beat the Philadelphia Eagles 25-14 at Lincoln Financial Field.
Carolina is 3-2 after the bye. Philadelphia is 2-4 and has lost four in a row, the first four-game losing streak of the Nick Sirianni era, NFL.com said. Jalen Hurts was on injured reserve. Tanner McKee made his first start that was not a Week 18 game. Bryce Young went 20 of 39 for 281 yards, two scores, and no picks. McKee was 26 of 45 for 215, one touchdown, no interceptions, and three sacks.
10-0, then Pierce from 2
Ryan Fitzgerald opened from 47 after a six-play, 32-yard drive. Tremble's first score, 12 yards from Young, made it 10-0 in the second. Jalen Coker helped him with a Rocky knockout celebration. Tremble told the club Rocky IV is his favorite. He has an old photo on the museum steps with his dad. They cooked the bit up 10 minutes before kickoff, Coker said.
Philadelphia answered in 10 plays and 78 yards. Dameon Pierce, filling in with Saquon Barkley still out, scored from 2. Jake Elliott kicked. 10-7 at the half. The Eagles' defense had kept it a game. The yards had not: Carolina 399, Philadelphia 222, the Panthers game center said. Time of possession: 34:48 to 25:12.
Hubbard's 14-play burial, then Smith, then Tremble again
Fitzgerald from 52 in the third, a 12-play, 36-yard grind. NFL.com said Hubbard converted fourth-and-1 with a 19-yard run on the drive that put Carolina up two scores. The scoring summary has the 1-yard Hubbard plunge as a 14-play, 92-yard march to start the fourth. The two-point pass failed. 19-7.
McKee finally found a rhythm by forcing the ball to DeVonta Smith, back from a hamstring. Ten plays, 69 yards. Smith from 19. 19-14, 2:52 on the drive clock. Young needed four plays and 48 yards. Tremble from 19. DeJean had upended Mitchell Evans earlier and drawn unnecessary roughness. Tremble pointed. The kick failed, wide right. 25-14.
Carolina was flagged 13 times for 149 yards. Philadelphia had 11 for 84. Tremble said he should not have retaliated and that he is prepared to pay the fine. Dave Canales' staff has been telling him to come back to the sideline.
120 after contact, 0 sacks from the stars they did not have
Hubbard ran 28 times for 120 and the 1-yarder. Next Gen Stats, via NFL.com, had 133 yards after contact and 56 yards on 17 carries that were hit behind the line. Coker caught six for 97. Tetairoa McMillan had six for 86. Tremble finished with four for 46 and both receiving scores. Young was 13 of 21 for 193 yards on throws to receivers aligned out wide, NFL.com said.
Smith caught seven for 75 and the touchdown, five of those for 53 in the fourth. Dallas Goedert had six for 61. Pierce ran 12 times for 35 and the only Philadelphia rushing score. The Eagles ran for 35 yards as a team. McKee was 6 of 15 for 63 yards under pressure, Next Gen Stats via NFL.com.
Bobby Okereke generated five pressures on 15 rushes, all within 2.5 seconds, including a sack, NFL.com wrote. Devin Lloyd had six pressures. Tre'von Moehrig added two and a half-sack. Carolina was not going to let McKee get comfortable. It did not.
NFL.com said Young had thrown for 280-plus yards and a touchdown in each of Carolina's first five games, the first quarterback to do that since Peyton Manning and Drew Brees in 2013. Sunday he was under that 280-yard clip until late, then finished at 281. The completion rate was 51.3 percent. Carolina went 7 of 17 on third down and still piled up 25 first downs.
McKee's first snap got him blasted, NFL.com wrote, and the next one nearly became a pick. He missed windows through three quarters, then fed Smith when the Eagles had no other answer. Philadelphia did not attempt a field goal. Elliott's only kicks were extra points. Hurts, Barkley, and a shuffled line left McKee in a game the defense could not finish. The wins are stacking for Carolina anyway.
