MLB Spring Training: Pitchers and Catchers Report Feb 10–12

Pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training this week—February 10–12, depending on club—with full squads following shortly after. Clubs will use the next several weeks to set rotations, settle position battles, and prepare for Opening Day.

Opening Day

The Philadelphia Phillies host the Texas Rangers on March 26 at Citizens Bank Park in one of the first games of the 2026 season. Most clubs open within a few days of that date.

What to Watch

  • Injury rehabs: Key players like Zack Wheeler (Phillies) and Sean Murphy (Braves) are working back from surgery; their timelines will shape roster decisions.
  • Rotation battles: Several clubs added depth this week (Rays with Nick Martinez, Marlins with Chris Paddack, White Sox with Erick Fedde); Spring Training will sort out roles.
  • Non-roster invitees: Veterans and prospects on NRI deals (e.g. Twins' Gio Urshela, Orlando Arcia) will compete for roster spots.
