The Seattle Kraken beat the Calgary Flames 6-1. Seattle is 2-1-0. Calgary is 0-3-0. The Associated Press recap said this was Seattle's second win over Calgary this season. Six different skaters scored on Thursday. Sunday needed fewer names and more volume.

5-0 through two, then Frost spoils the shutout

Catton, wrist shot, no assist, 2:22. 1-0. Samoskevich, backhand, Brandon Montour and Ryker Evans at 4:40. 2-0. The AP recap called it Samoskevich's first goal with Seattle after the June trade from Florida (a 2026 first-round pick and a 2027 conditional second). Shane Wright scored a backhand at 11:58 of the second from Catton and Vince Dunn. 4-0. Samoskevich scored again at 19:34 from Matty Beniers and Jared McCann. 5-0. Every Seattle goal through two periods was even strength.

Samoskevich took a high-sticking minor at 8:11 of the first. Calgary did not score on it. Ville Ottavainen high-sticked Yegor Sharangovich at 13:33 of the third, and that one became Frost's goal. Ryan Lindgren slashed Parekh at 20:00. The box shows no Calgary extra-attacker goal after that.

The first period was three even-strength scores in 5:18 of game time. Calgary put 33 shots on Daccord and scored once, on the power play, with 5:35 left. Seattle put 27 on Wolf and scored six.
