The Deal

Ramírez, 33, will earn $25 million annually from 2026–32, with $10 million deferred each season (paid starting in 2036). The extension includes $70 million in deferred compensation, a full no-trade clause, and increased award bonuses—including $500K for an MVP award. The deal also includes perks such as private jet travel for All-Star Games and an extra hotel room on road trips.

Ramírez's 2025 Season

Ramírez hit .283/.360/.503 with 30 home runs, 85 RBIs, and 44 stolen bases in 2025, finishing third in AL MVP voting. He has been with the Guardians organization since 2009 and has said he wants to spend his entire career in Cleveland.

AthX Impact

Ramírez is a cornerstone for the Guardians and one of the most consistent switch-hitters in baseball. His long-term commitment removes contract uncertainty—his AthX price should reflect his role as a high-floor, high-ceiling producer for years to come.
