Jaguars 34, Browns 10: Lawrence Hits Four Different Receivers

September 13, 2026 - Jacksonville - Cleveland's first series ended in Foye Oluokun's hands. Jacksonville's first series ended in the end zone. The rest of the afternoon stayed on that script.

Trevor Lawrence completed 18 of 23 for 245 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions. The Jacksonville Jaguars beat the Cleveland Browns 34-10 at EverBank Stadium and won a regular-season opener for a second straight year. Liam Coen called it a true team win. Todd Monken's first game as Cleveland's head coach was 31-0 before the Browns put a point on the board.

Lawrence spread it. Parker Washington, rookie Josh Cameron, Brenton Strange, and Jakobi Meyers all scored. He is the second quarterback in franchise history to throw touchdowns to four different receivers in a game. Blake Bortles did it against New England in September 2018.

Four drives, 24-0, and a record half

Oluokun intercepted Deshaun Watson and returned it 22 yards to the Jacksonville 19. Eight plays later, Washington dove in the short corner from 30 yards. 7-0, 8:11 left in the first.

Lawrence went 74 yards in nine plays on the next possession. Cameron finished it from 4 yards. 14-0.

Cam Little hit from 47 to make it 17-0. Then Josh Hines-Allen recovered a K.C. Concepcion fumble, and Strange caught a 14-yard score. 24-0 with 6:18 left in the half. Those 24 first-half points are a franchise record for a regular-season opener.

Jacksonville scored on its first four possessions. Watson never found a clean pocket. The Jaguars sacked him five times: 1.5 each for Hines-Allen and Travon Walker, one each for Ventrell Miller and Branson Combs.

31-0, then the only Browns touchdown

The third quarter opened the same way. Bhayshul Tuten took a screen 22 yards. Lawrence rolled left and found Meyers in the back of the end zone from 32. 31-0, 12:08 left in the third.

Cleveland finally moved after Raheim Sanders returned a kickoff 74 yards. Andre Szmyt hit from 26. 31-3. Little answered from 40. 34-3.

Lawrence left with 8:12 remaining and the lead already 31 points. Denzel Boston caught a 46-yard touchdown from Watson with 1:52 left, Boston's first NFL score. It made the final 34-10. It did not change the afternoon.

Tuten ran 15 times for 66 yards. Jacksonville outgained Cleveland 360-272, ran for 127 to 87, and picked up 23 first downs to 14. Washington caught five for 83. Brian Thomas Jr. left with a shoulder injury in the second quarter and returned. The defense forced two turnovers and allowed one touchdown. Coen said the defense came to play.
