Browns 27, Titans 24: Szmyt Again, Pollard Three Times

October 25, 2026 - Nashville - Three seconds. Andre Szmyt lined up from 32. He had already won a game like this a week earlier in Cleveland. He did it again at Nissan Stadium, and the Cleveland Browns walked out 27-24 over the Tennessee Titans.

Cleveland is 5-2 and still first in the AFC North. Tennessee is 1-6. Todd Monken called it unbelievable and not perfect. "We're going to have to figure out how to start faster."

They started 14-0 the wrong way. Tony Pollard scored from 36 at 12:57 of the first, then from 10 at 8:35, the Browns scoring summary said. Joey Slye kicked both. Pollard finished 25 carries for 129 and three scores, plus three catches for 26. It was the loudest individual line on the field. It was not the last score.

Two Judkins punches, then a half that flipped

Quinshon Judkins answered from 5 at 5:32 of the first. 14-7. He scored from 6 at 2:17 of the second. 14-14. Szmyt made 28 as the half expired. 17-14. Cleveland had allowed touchdowns on Tennessee's first two drives and still led at the break.

Deshaun Watson went 25 of 36 for 308 yards, no passing touchdowns, one interception, and a 9-yard rushing score. The Browns called it his first 300-yard passing game with the club. KC Concepcion caught eight for 129, career highs, plus three rushes for 23. The Browns said those 129 yards were the eighth-most by a Cleveland rookie in a game, and the first 100-yard receiving game by a Browns rookie wideout since Corey Coleman in 2016. He took a screen 23 yards on third-and-7 on the first series, then 32 to set up Judkins's tying score, Kelsey Russo wrote. Harold Fannin Jr. had six for 91. Dylan Sampson ran six times for 45 and caught three for 32. Cleveland ran for 183 as a team and threw for 308, per nflverse.

"I enter every week expecting to have a game like this," Concepcion said. Monken called him a real dude who covers the football when he spins. "That's not easy for a guy that when they expose the ball like that."

Cam Ward went 20 of 31 for 181, no scores, one pick. Carnell Tate caught five for 69. Elic Ayomanor had three for 44. Gunnar Helm had three for 24. The Titans did not throw a touchdown. They ran three in. Michael Carter added three carries for 7.

The third quarter was empty. The fourth was not. Slye made 29 at 8:41. 17-17. Concepcion then spun for 18 to the 9, the Browns wrote. Watson ran 9 yards at 4:34. 24-17. Pollard finished from a yard at 0:58. 24-24. Cleveland had used its fifth fourth-quarter go-ahead scoring drive of the season, the club wrote, and still needed one more snap of work.

Watson hit Fannin for 36. Four plays, 55 yards. Szmyt from 32 with no time left. nflverse marks it as a game-winner from 32. He also missed 43. The two makes were 28 and 32. It was his third walk-off this season, the takeaways piece said, and the second straight week.

Denzel Ward intercepted Ward and had three passes defensed on the nflverse line. Cordale Flott intercepted Watson. Anthony Hill Jr. forced a fumble. Quincy Williams had six solos and two TFL. Ronnie Hickman Jr. recovered a fumble. Kevin Winston Jr. led Tennessee with eight solos. Adin Huntington had Cleveland's sack. Oluwafemi Oladejo had Tennessee's. Denzel Boston caught three for 27.

Monken talked about playing the next play. Watson keeps getting the ball in the fourth. The AP, via ESPN, put it as his fifth winning drive this season. The Browns' recap used the same count. Pollard still scored three times in a loss. That is the split in this box.

Judkins finished 17 carries for 96 and the two scores, plus one catch for 8. The Browns takeaways framed the run game around Judkins and Sampson after a slow start. Pollard's 36-yarder was the first snap of trouble. Szmyt's 32-yarder was the last. Cleveland visits Pittsburgh next, on the Steelers' schedule after Paris. Tennessee is 1-6 after a week that started with a chance and ended on a kick.
