Broncos 30, Cardinals 16: Nix for 62, Harvey for 52

October 25, 2026 - Glendale - Second-and-7. Tie game. Bo Nix stepped up, saw grass, and did not stop until he dove at the pylon. Next Gen Stats had him at 19.9 mph, the Broncos wrote, and no Cardinal within four yards until the 5. The run was 62 yards. Denver led 13-6, and the Denver Broncos did not trail again.

They beat the Arizona Cardinals 30-16 at State Farm Stadium. Denver is 5-2 after a third straight win and its first multi-score victory of 2026. Arizona is 2-5. The Cardinals have lost 10 straight at home, a streak the AP put at 406 days.

Nix told a reporter asking about his ankle, "You believe me now?"

Two Lutz kicks, two red-zone stops

Wil Lutz opened from 48 after eight plays, then 43 after eight more. 6-0. Marvin Mims Jr. had returned the first kick to midfield, Sean Payton said. nflverse gives Mims 103 kickoff return yards, two catches for 53, and a 3-yard rush.

Arizona reached the red zone twice before the half and left with Chad Ryland from 30 and 26. 6-6. The Broncos said the Cardinals were 1 of 5 in the red zone for the day after going 0 for 5 against the Rams a week earlier. Jacoby Brissett finished 27 of 48 for 272, one score, no picks, and three sacks.

Then Nix took off. The Broncos called it the longest rush by a Denver quarterback in franchise history, and the longest by any NFL quarterback since Justin Fields in 2022. 13-6 at the half.

A blocked punt, then a screen that went 52

Denver's defense got a stop to start the third. Adam Prentice blocked the punt, Alex Singleton said, and the Broncos started at their 38. Three plays later Nix dumped a screen to RJ Harvey. Harvey weaved 52. The club said it was the first time since 2002 Denver had a 50-yard rushing score and a 50-yard passing score in the same game. 20-6.

Trey McBride finally got Arizona in, 10 catches for 111 and a touchdown. 20-13. Denver answered with J.K. Dobbins on the ground after Mims's 47-yard catch, the club notes said. 27-13. Lutz made 31. 30-13. Ryland made 41. 30-16.

Nix was 15 of 29 for 222 and the Harvey score, plus seven carries for 73 and the 62-yarder. Jonah Coleman ran nine times for 54. Dobbins had six for 23 and the rushing score. Jaylen Waddle caught four for 48. Courtland Sutton had three for 45. Mims had the 47-yarder in a two-catch, 53-yard afternoon.

Michael Wilson caught four for 55. Tyler Allgeier had eight rushes for 19 and three catches for 30. Bam Knight ran seven for 48. Rookie Jeremiyah Love missed a second straight game with an ankle, the AP wrote.

Singleton finished with 12 solos and a sack on the nflverse line. Malcolm Roach and Sai'vion Jones each had a sack. Darius Robinson had Arizona's. Denver had 12 quarterback hits, six tackles for loss, and three sacks, the AP said. Arizona converted 1 of 8 third downs in the first half, Payton's club wrote.

Nix still wanted the third-down tape cleaned. Denver was 3 of 11. He talked about the four-minute offense at the end. "Several penalties that we didn't love," he said. Payton called it one of their more complete games anyway: kick return, blocked punt, explosives. The Broncos matched a season high with 30 points and posted 377 net yards, the club said. nflverse has 222 passing and 159 rushing. Denver scored in all four quarters for the first time this season and led by 17 in the fourth, its largest lead of 2026.

Garett Bolles said Nix does whatever he can to win. Zach Allen said they see the athleticism in practice. "Bo's Bo." The right ankle from last season's playoffs was the story entering the week. The 62-yarder was the answer. Jalen Brooks had one catch for 35 on six targets. Kalen King had five solos. Denver was flagged 114 penalty yards on the nflverse team line. Arizona had 59. The Broncos still left with the first win that was not a one-score game.

Nix had 37 rushing yards on the season before Sunday, the Cover 4 piece said, then nearly doubled it on one scramble. Harvey's screen was the first play after the blocked punt. Singleton called Prentice's block the kind of small play the team is built on.

Denver hosts Kansas City next Sunday. Arizona visits Dallas, the AP wrote.
