Bills 33, Raiders 30: Allen's Shovel, Then Bass Makes 33 Hold

October 18, 2026 - Las Vegas - Third-and-8 from the Raiders 12. The pocket closed. Josh Allen stepped up, sold a run, and shoveled it to Keon Coleman in the middle of the end zone. The Bills called it a Houdini act. It was also the 258th passing touchdown of Allen's career, regular season and playoffs, tying Jim Kelly for the most in Buffalo history.

The Buffalo Bills beat the Las Vegas Raiders 33-30 at Allegiant Stadium. Buffalo is 5-1. Las Vegas is 3-3 and has lost three straight. Allen went 23 of 33 for 255 yards, two scores, no picks, and one rushing yard on five carries. Kirk Cousins was 23 of 41 for 313, two touchdowns, and the interception that started Buffalo's second half.

Field goals, a screen, then 13-13

Tyler Bass made Buffalo's first two drives into points. Ashton Jeanty answered from a yard after Cousins hit Tucker for 26 on third-and-7. 7-3 Raiders. James Cook then dragged the Bills to the 9. Allen flipped a screen. Khalil Shakir caught it behind the line and followed the convoy in from 9. 13-7.

Las Vegas used a holding flag and an unsportsmanlike call against Buffalo to get Matt Gay in range before the half. 13-13. Allen had the ball with 2:14 left in the second, dropped a throw that would have moved the chains, and took a sack on third down. Tommy Doman punted. The half stayed tied.

Bass finished 4-for-4 from 44, 28, 47, and 38. Gay was 3-for-3 from 35, 27, and 23.

Williams' pick, Coleman's shovel, Cook from 3

Buffalo's defense opened the third with a three-and-out. On the next series Dorian Williams jumped Cousins' eyes for his first career interception. Allen nearly scored from there on fourth down to Dalton Kincaid from 18. Holding wiped it. Bass made the field goal anyway, the first lead of the second half.

Then the shovel. 23-13. Las Vegas drove 15 plays, converted three third downs, and still could not punch it from the 1. Greg Gaines made a tackle for loss. Davison Igbinosun broke up a pass. Gay from 23. 23-16.

Cousins went 91 yards. Brock Bowers had 47 of them on that drive, the Bills wrote, after Christian Benford had held him without a catch until 4:49 of the third. Third-and-8 from the 11. Cousins dropped it on Tucker at the pylon. 23-23.

Cook took the next series personally. He piled up 46 of Buffalo's 66 yards and scored from 3 with the line shoving him in. 30-23. Greg Rousseau batted first down at the line. Dee Alford and Jalen Kilgore forced incompletions. Punt.

Buffalo started at the Las Vegas 49, burned the remaining Raiders timeouts, and sent Bass out from 38 after the two-minute warning. 33-23. Two plays later Cousins threw a 44-yard ball to Tucker, who laid out. Extra point good. 33-30. The onside kick went to Buffalo. That was the game.
